Brand spankin’ new? This is the place to start. Returning students will gain benefit from reinforcing foundation skills and learning new techniques, while refining their craft.
Explore the art of jewelry fabrication. Students will learn cutting and piercing with the jeweler’s saw, soldering with Acetylene gas, stone setting, and finishing/polishing through demonstrations and hands-on work. Projects may include rings, bracelets, pendants, and/or earrings. Metal will be provided by instructor. Students have access to studio tools and equipment. Additional tools and metal can be purchased on site. Students are encouraged to bring any additional metal supplies to supplement class materials.
This craft calls upon the application of technical skills and abilities so please be prepared to be present, learn and apply what you’ve learned. You are guaranteed a solid foundation education upon which to build, strengthen and grow.
Due to the technical content and concepts in this class students must be 18 years of age. Students between 14-17 may be accompanied by a supervising adult enrolled in the class with them.
Materials and lab fees are provided in your tuition.
